Apparently the next DLC for Skyrim is going to be called Hearthfire and will include the ability to buy land and build/customize your own houses. If you've watched the Skyrim game jam video, you'll know that something like this was in that video. Below is a description of the DLC

Quote:

"Hearthfire, the next official game-add on for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, has arrived. For the first time in the Elder Scrolls universe, purchase land and build your own home from the ground up - from a simple one-room cottage to a sprawling compound complete with armory, alchemy laboratory, trophy room, and more! With Hearthfire, the possibilities of what you can build are endless."

Cool. I always wanted to build my house. Wonder what the story is going to be about?

There's a chance this could just be a small DLC, to prepare for the 3rd one.

This is awesome for PS3 players. Very cool of Bethesda too as they could have just charged people for it even if it was delayed.

I am totally making a pool, leading my Dovikin in, then removing the ladder, and lastly filling it with mudcrabs and Slaughterfish. ULTIMATE SIMS SIMULATOR!

By the looks of it, Elder Scrolls VI will be out before Skyrim works on PS3 properly :/

I've got HUGE.... TRACTS OF LAND! Skyrim land... and now in each of the three minor holds I have a house, each styled differently. I've made use of all the different East/West/North wing options, therefore. =-)

And I have an adorable new Dovahkid ... my adopted daughter from the orphanage... I'm scouting to find her a sister now.

Visit a cooking pot at your next opportunity, LOTS of NEW FOOD has been added. And hawks now have nests.

I really love this DLC, and for a small price it adds a lot of role playing opportunities to the game
